About Slinkachu-
The simplest way to describe Slinkachu is that he is a London based photographer, who likes his identity to remain anonymous so he calls himself 'Slinkachu'. Therefore not that much is revealed about him only that he is a very clever photographer. He has a unique way of photography and uses tiny 1 cm figures as props in his photographs, and makes them look life like with a special twist. Slinkachu calls this his "Little people project" and has been doing this since 2006. Once he has finished photographing his characters, he leaves them on the streets. One of his pieces "A man standing by a cash machine" lasted around 2 months. In my opinion I think that his work is spectacular, its not something you would see everyday and they are not your average photographs. He has a unique imagination and is a brilliant photographer. I have not seen a photograph of his I have not liked as of yet.
I like this picture because I think that it is very vibrant. It looks as if
the figure is flying away with the bubble gum after blowing a ginormous bubble!
The way that he has taken this photograph is very clever. It looks as if
he has used a petite balloon to give of the affect of a bubble from chewing gum. This
shows that Slinkachu is extremely creative with his photography and will try
out a lot of things. To take this photograph he would have needed to use a quite fast
shutter speed as if there was a slight breeze it would have created a motion blur, maybe he used 1/250.

I love the way that Slinakchu has made the effect of an island in the middle of
the ocean (despite the fact that you can see blurred buildings in the background)! It
is not something that the average photographer would think of doing. He has used
a tennis ball, a puddle, a plastic palm tree and of course is tiny 1cm figures!
Slinkachu has obviously given of the effect that he has imagined his characters
in a hot place as they are wearing shorts and a bikini. This picture is strong
as only the palm tree and tennis ball are in focus and they are on a power spot.
This photograph may have just been taken on a average shutter speed of
1/125.

I like this picture a lot, it is VERY unique! It looks as if a giant as
stepped on a little human being in which blood has squirted everywhere! He could
have used anything from ketchup to paint, to create the 'blood', whatever he used
works really well! The snow makes the tiny figure really pop out as it is lay in
a puddle of bright red; your eyes are instantly drawn to the figure. Also I like
that it isn't taken at a boring angle where the footprint is straight and the
photo is a birds eye view. Whereas, the foot print is slanted and the photo is
taken at a low angle.

About Jason Martini-
Jason Martini is a street photographer from Chicago, Illinois. He tells a story within his photographs, they really make you think 'What is going on?'. It is almost like he is mixing street photography with documentary photography. He started this photography as he took long walks through Chicago, he began to focus in on people and street photography. Jason Martini is inspired by everything around him, his life, his city, the world.

Practice Pictures-
Take 1
Take 2
Before I started to take my 'proper' photographs, I had taken various practice
pictures. Ranging from a whole load of different backgrounds/scenes. As this was
my first project I was just getting used to the camera settings so the lighting
is off in certain images.

My best photographs!
I love the way that only the section of the photograph where the figures are
is in focus and the rest of the photo is blurred. This has a small depth of field. It makes it look as if the
figures are the only things important in the photo. They are also on a power
spot!

I like the way that instead of getting the figures in focus I blurred them
and just got the fork in focus, for a bit of a different picture than the rest I
had previously taken. This image has a small depth of field. It makes you think that the figures a hiding for some
reason. Your eyes are not instantly drawn to them but as you go up past the
fork you notice them camouflaged into the background!

I love the way that I have taken this photograph and only got the figures
reflection in the mirror in focus and not captured the figure itself in focus.
It makes it look very unique, as you would expect the figure itself to be in
focus and not its reflection. This photograph has as small depth of field.

I like that the shells at the front of the picture are blurred but the rest
of the photo is in focus. It looks very clever. This photograph has a small depth of field. As well as this the picture kind
of tells a story, such as a young couple hiding out in a library, maybe in school
or college. Also I like that figures are on a power spot

My weakest photographs.
I struggled to take this photograph as I stuck the figure onto a picture that was high on the wall. I tried to use a tripod but I was just to short to be able to get a good photo. I really wanted to get it too look like the figure and the penguins were on a straight line (where you cannot see any blue under neath there feet) but this didn't work. Plus there is nothing special going on, the figure or penguins are not on a power spot.
I dont like this photograph because the figure is lost among the pens and
pencils. I should have put the figure more at the front and just got that in
focus, as well as using less pens/pencils. Also, I should have changed the
exposure levels to make it slightly brighter. I should have taken this with a small depth of field.

My Slinkachu final piece!
This picture is one of my favorites. It tells a story, it looks as if the figure is walking on rooftops surrounded by greenery, maybe in the country-side? Or even going on a hike on a rough mountain. The figure is on a power spot. Furthermore, only the middle section of the photograph is in focus, which is where the figure is, leaving the rest of the image in a blur. This is a small depth of field.
This photograph is another favorite. Again, I have just the mid-section in focus which looks very strong as the ruler and scissors are blurred. The main focus is on the figured people in the centre of the image. This is a small depth of field. Additionally, I love that the figure is on the meeting point of the ruler and scissors.
