MOBILE PHOTOGRAPHY.
What is mobile photography?
Mobile photography is a more formal way of saying the meaning of this type of photography. This type of photography is basically a image taken by a mobile camera source such as an I Phone. The different apps that have been invented makes mobile photography a growing type of photography, this is as people can easily fix up their image to make it look better.

OLIVER LANG'S PHOTOGRAPHY
Hiding from the light, Market St, Sydney.
I love this image as its simplicity really works well. The woman holding the bag is on a power spot, making her the focus of the image. Also, all of the light is directed at her, showing that she is what the image is supposed to be about and that she is important for the photo. There seems to be a story behind the photograph.

London by the Thames.
This photograph shows the atmosphere of the environment which it was taken in clearly. Fun and bubbly. I like how the image is taken looking as if it is 'playtime' but behind them looks like buildings where important people will be working, e.g. the government. Its bringing a touch of brightness to the busy city. This image may have had a Fstop of around f/5.6 to let in just the right amount of light.

Bastille Day, Borough Market, London.
The chiascuro used in this photograph works well and makes the photo stronger, it gives of the impression of a quite droopy atmosphere. The way in which the child is sat slightly in the middle, almost on the power spot on the right looks very good. This photograph documents what is happening really well, it looks as if something exciting is happening and everybody is jumping at the chance to see it.

Photo blogging in India-
The billboard on the right hand corner of this photograph is on a power spot. It is very noticeable as the sun is shining on it brightly. The environment looks deserted for unknown reasons, expect for a old man walking on a power spot to the bottom left. But, then you notice the caption which says he was on a morning stroll.

The girl on the right is standing on a power spot. As well as this, the photo is taken on a eye level shot. This photograph tells a story, it seems like the girl on the right is upset (which is why she is on a power spot) and her friend is comforting her. They may feel strange as 'the bloggers arrive in the slum' as they do not know them.

Flinders Street-
This picture is simple as it is made from silhouettes of running children. Where you can only see a slight pink colour from the clothes of the child on the right. What they are running from or for is unknown, but a before and after picture would show what is going on exactly. This is an eye level shot. Also, the taxi is moving on a power spot.

Both MISHO BARINOVIC and OLIVER LANG actually created the the Instaburb book project, documenting Australian suburbia through Instagram.
Steve Mayes.
Steve Mayes grew up in the Midlands. But, he formed Steve Mayes Photography in 2002, a couple of years after moving to the North East of England. When he moved to Newcastle the iconic architecture he was surrounded by, old and new, seemed to be the final spark that turned photography into a real passion of his.

The way in which Steve Mayes has captured this photograph is amazing. He has clearly got the reflection of the bridge causing there to be an infinity sign. The architecture is very modern and interesting. Steve Mayes has taken this photo from the side almost, making it even more special than it would look if it was taken from in front or behind the bridge. Therefore, it has an interesting viewpoint.
I love the way that he has captured this image. I am unsure about what it is but it is some sort of architecture which looks quite like an eye. This photograph was captured as a low angle view, making me believe that it is some sort of roof window. The way in which he has taken this photograph is interesting as it isn't at a normal angle. The use of chiascuro is very effective.
Matt Livey:
Matt Livey is an award winning architectural photographer based in the UK. Specialising in the built environment, architecture and interior photography.
This photograph has a mix of colours which complement each other well. The colours are that of the British flag, making me think that the image was taken in London. The way that the red buses are moving on each side gives of a very good effect, giving a slight roughness to the image. The bus sign is the main focus of the photograph, it is important for your eyes to be drawn to the sign as you would not know what the the picture was about otherwise.
I love the way that this photograph looks like it could be either the floor or a tall building. It is captured as a worms eye view and looks as if the camera was placed onto the building to take he photograph.
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF MOBILE PHOTOGRAPHY
Paparazzi can use mobile photography in a negative light, where they take numerous photographs and choose one which may twist the story. By using a before and after picture it may change the whole view of that particular photograph. But, mobile photograph is good as nearly everybody owns a mobile or some sort of camera source so they can capture a important event. This can get the photograph popular all around the world within a second, which is good if it is for something positive or worth while. For example if I Phone does not have an 'excellent' camera like an SLR, people can download hundreds of apps onto their phone to edit the photograph to look like a high standard.
Editing apps-
INSTAGRAM-
Instagram is amazing for adding filters to your photographs to make them look better. It is a fast, simple app that you will easily understand. As well as taking photos, you can also do short 15 second videos where you may add a filter if you wish. You can add #hashtags so that your image can be exhibited around the world. For example, I posted a picture of me and my dad in Spain when I was younger and used the hashtag #espana. This then came under a category of all pictures hashtaged '#espana', many people will see your photograph in this case. This is amazing for news reports, as people can see your story in a photo rapidly.

INSTA EDITOR-
This is an app which you can do many things on. Such as, effects, frames, stickers, sharpness, blemish removal. Along with, writing text drawing and cropping. Plus much more. Everything that you need to edit a photograph is in this app! It is very simple to use and the effects can change your image dramatically. For example, the effect 'Metropolis' can change a picture to make it look quite spooky. Whereas, 'Arizona' makes everything bright and calm.

This image has changed from a light corridor, into a scary place. I used the effect 'Metropolis' to create this photograph.
MY PLAN FOR MY PROJECT.
- Crowds- fast moving people with one person still, shopping ques.
- Architecture- Hilton, old buildings, new modern buildings, The Armarni shop on Deansgate, Cathedral, Metal tree in Piccadilly.
- Families- Walking, As if somebody is arguing, lost person.
MY FIRST TAKE-
Documentary and Architecture photography.
My favorite image-
This angle is almost like a worms eye view as the building is extremely TALL! I love that I have even got the reflection of the clouds on the shiny glass of the Hilton Hotel. The colour of the sky also reflects onto the building, causing the glass to look blue. I changed the contrast on 'PicMonkey' to make the blue sky even brighter.
My worst image-
Again, this is another picture where the metal railings looks black. It looks great against the brightness of the sky, which again I changed the contrast to make it even more bluer.
MY SECOND TAKE-
MY FINAL PIECE-
My favorite image-
I love this image as it looks as if the building is never ending. The way in which the surroundings are reflected onto the glass works well. The colours on from the sky reflect well with the glass. Also, the angle at which the building shoots in from looks very effective.
